Calling All Sports Saturday – 10am – 1pm

Whether you’re driving around, running errands or working in the yard on a Saturday, tune in the valley’s longest running weekend show, Calling All Sports Saturday presented by Casino Arizona. The guys take a light hearted, entertaining look at the past week’s sports happenings and a look ahead to the upcoming week.

The popular and well-educated Mike Grose is the anchor on Saturdays.  Grose first started out as a producer of then AZGameday when the show  aired on KMVP 860, but quickly jumped up to the show’s number one fill-in on Saturdays. Grose is a former Sports Information Director who grew up in the friendly confines of Detroit, Michigan. Grose is also the creator of the Calling All Sports Rewind and the show’s Top 10. The show is produced by CJ Boyle and the technical director is Flash!

The show was originally called Roc and Moe Gameday and aired on KHEP1280AM. From there it moved to KDUS 1060AM and Bill Lewis replaced Joe Moeller. It was called Roc and Lew Gameday. After a year on KDUS, Lew moved on to weekday mornings and Ron Wolfley took over. The show moved yet again, this time to KMVP ESPN 860. Roc and Wolf Gameday then evolved and aired for over five years. Once Wolf moved to KTAR, Grose became the lead with Manuch. Roc still fills in from time to time.

anderson-hostDamien Anderson: damienanderson2022@gmail.com Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Arizona Cardinals in 2002.  He played college football at Northwestern, where he is in their Hall of Fame.  Anderson was a stand-out running back at Northwestern, leaving as the sixth all-time leading rusher in Big Ten history (4,485 yards) and NU’s all-time leader in rushing, all-purpose yards (5,261), rushing TDs (38) and 200-yard games (4). He had a break-out junior year in 2000 when he rushed for a school-record 2,063 yards, and set Northwestern single-season marks with 171.9 yards per game, 2,195 all-purpose yards, 23 touchdowns and 138 points scored. That year he was ranked second in the nation in rushing yards per game, was a first-team All-American and finished fifth in Heisman voting. His senior year was cut short when he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury.  He played 35 games over four seasons with the Cardinals.
