About Roc

Mike Muraco aka Roc has over 25 years experience in the sports industry, specializing in sports marketing, media and public relations. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Sports Industry and Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University. Roc has worked in professional and collegiate capacities with stints with the Phoenix Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Fall League, Phoenix Firebirds, Oakland A’s, Ohio University and University of Pennsylvania. He also volunteers on numerous organizations. He just went Life on Fiesta Bowl Committee after being a yellow jacket for over 12 years.He was recently named Executive Director of the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame Valley of the Sun Chapter.Roc is the President of On-Air Sports Marketing and Vice President of The Labrador Media. Muraco co-hosts the Arizona Sports Business Report weekly on The Fan AM 1060. He has been a co-host of Calling All Sports since 2004. A Riot Broke Out at a Boxing Match in Argentina, and Fans Tried to Fight One of the Boxers

A huge riot broke out at a boxing match in Argentina on Friday night, after a Filipino boxer beat a hometown favorite named Luis Lazarte. –The fans went nuts, and started throwing bottles and CHAIRS into the ring. And a few of the fans even jumped in and went after the winning boxer. It doesn’t look like they landed any clear shots, but the whole ring was chaos, so it’s hard to tell. (–Search for “Chair-Throwing Riot in Argentina.” The first chair is thrown at :34, and they go after the boxer around :55.)

University of Arizona Tip-Off Taste – March 3rd

On March 3, join Coach Sean Miller and the University of Arizona men’s basketball team on the eve of the U of A at ASU basketball game for an evening where the basketball and culinary worlds collide. Guests are invited to relax, sip libations, listen to music, socialize and sample cuisines from top restaurants in the Valley. The 25th annual tip-off event will also include a variety of silent auction items, raffle prizes as well as no-host bar. Proceeds from the event will be allocated by the University of Arizona Phoenix Alumni Chapter towards scholarships for the best and brightest Maricopa County students attending the University of Arizona.
