Leinart Gets Another Backup Job -Can you blame him?

Houston  – We have Leinart!

Quarterback Matt Leinart agreed to a one-year contract with the Houston Texans, according to multiple reports.  With the Texans, he will be a backup to Matt Schaub and perhaps even to Dan Orlovsky, at least for now.

While the Texans represent a fresh start for Leinart, who was drafted 10th over all by the Cardinals in 2006, they would seem to provide even less hope for a starting job than the Cardinals would have this season.

Sources say the Texans were one of the first teams to contact Leinart after he was released.

Schaub started all 16 games for the first time in his career last season.  He passed for 4,770 yards and completed 67.9 percent of his passes, earning his first Pro Bowl appearance.
