Springfield, Mass is the home of a golf argument that went violent!
Springfield police detectives are looking into an argument on the golf course that turned violent on Sunday night. Springfield Police Sergeant John Delaney told 22News just before 8:30 P.M. on Sunday, a 46 year-old man and his 29 year-old girlfriend got into an argument about golf with a foursome on the 18th green at Franconia Golf Course. The dispute then turned violent when one of the members of the foursome head-butted the man. Another member of the foursome then allegedly threw a golf ball at the woman, just missing her head.
Following the incident, the members of the foursome then left in two separate cars. The victims were able to get the plate numbers of those cars.
The member of the foursome who head-butted the man is described as a white man in his 30’s standing about 5’9” with a medium build and black and gray hair. The man who threw the golf ball is described as a white man in his 30’s standing about 6’0” tall and weighing about 170 lbs. According to Delaney, the foursome also had a 13 year-old child with them at the time.
The man who was head-butted suffered a bloody nose and swelling.
